FAQ

Anti wrinkle injections

Will the result look natural?

Absolutely! My signature look is to smooth away wrinkles while maintaining  your natural movement and expression.

How long does it last?

Everyone is different, and there are lots of different factors as to how long it lasts.

Generally, I would expect treatment to last 3-6 months. The effects fade gradually and muscle action will return to normal.

What areas can be treated?

The classic areas are the frown lines, and  crows feet. We can also improve the forehead, drop a high smile line, tighten jowls and treat excessive underarm sweating. Other treatments can be discussed at consultation.

Will it hurt?

It can be a little bit uncomfortable at the time but I use ultra fine needles to minimise the pain.

Fillers and skin boosters

When will I see results?

Results can be seen after the initial treatment, but continue to improve over the following few weeks.

Is there any downtime?

With any injectable treatment, there is always a chance of redness, swelling, tenderness and/or bruising. This should only last a short time and many patients return to work immediately after their filler treatment.

How long does a filler treatment last?

I expect to see fillers lasting 9-12 months, so the effects are long lasting but not permanent.

Duration depends on many factors- skin condition, lifestyle, age, area treated. Many patients return every 9 months or so to maintain their results.

Is it painful?

Topical anaesthetic is usually applied prior to the procedure. All the fillers and skin boosters I use contain lidocaine to make the patient as comfortable as possible during the procedure.

What should I avoid after treatment?

Avoid makeup and touching the treated areas for the rest of the day.

Sunbathing, saunas and steam rooms are not recommended for 48 hours.

Skinpen Microneedling

Is it safe?

Yes! SkinPens single use sterile needle cartridge is designed with safety in mind. The pen is surrounded by a biosheath which acts as a barrier to prevent cross contamination.

How can I make it more effective?

Nutritional support is vital, so ensure your diet is rich in vitamins, and antioxidants. Use of SPF will protect against sun damage.

Cosmeceutical grade skin care will support healing, improve regeneration of collagen, increase moisture levels and keep the epidermis in good condition.
